About Persia Dubois

Persia Dubois has a masters degree in dance with a minor in art from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Persia moved to the central coast in 2004 after raising her family in a small, northern California coastal village. She began creating digital photographic imagery in 2006. Her giclee prints are inspired by nature and light. While some of her pieces convey a calm softness, Persia’s work has also been described as having both intense clarity and transparent radiance. One admirer states that she turns the rather ordinary into something worth noticing, while Persia describes her pieces as gifts of a moment. She has been honored with first place distinction in California Mid State Fair competitions. Her work is currently shown at Galeria Tonantzin in San Juan Bautista and at Cafe Vio in Paso Robles. She will exhibit at K-Jons Fine Jewelers in conjunction with the Atascadero Art Gallery Tour which opens May 15, 2009.

Folds of the Land Series

I adore central California’s topography. I am especially uplifted and fulfilled by the beautiful spring vistas. The moments in time and space which draw me to the folds, patterns, depths, colors and light created by our astonishing geographical history juxtaposed with the shimmering sun, floating clouds and fresh green shoots of spring. My soul desires regular infusions from these vast spans of visual beauty. My heart soars when it knows that I’ll make time to drink in these gifts from mother earth.
